Self-deprecating humor is a superpower. It's the ultimate "you can't hurt me because I already hurt myself" move. And now there's an app that does it for you — with terrifying precision.
Exit Review's Roast Mode doesn't write generic insults. It looks at your actual photo, reads your context, and writes something so specific to you that you'll wonder if it's been watching you through your front camera.
Name the moment you want to roast. It could be anything: "My Monday Morning Look," "This Outfit I Thought Was Good," "My Cooking Attempt," or just "Me." Keep it simple.
This is where it gets real. Take a selfie or pick a photo from your library. The more context in the photo, the better the roast. A messy background? The app will mention it. Weird lighting? Fair game. That thing you thought nobody would notice? It noticed.
Under "Reviewer voice," pick Roast Mode. A second row appears — choose "Roast Myself." This tells Exit Review to write in first person: "I look like..." instead of "This person looks like..."
Wait a few seconds. Then read something that will make you question every life choice that led you to this moment.
The best part. Tap "Share this with friends" and pick a format. The fake tweet format is perfect for self-roasts — it looks like you tweeted about yourself. The iMessage format works great for sending directly to your group chat.
Self-roasts get shared more than regular roasts. People respect someone who can laugh at themselves. It's relatable, it's funny, and it takes the power away from anyone who might try to roast you first. You already did it better.
